cellI’m a Ph.D. student in Biological Anthropology and a member of the Molecular Anthropology Group at University of Oregon. My research is focused on at the effects of cis-regulatory variation on immune gene expression, where is to understand how gene expression acts as a proximate mechanism underlying complex genotype-phenotype associations, particularly host-pathogen disease associations. In order to understand the consequences of regulatory variation on gene expression I use a variety of bioinformatic, genomic (RNA-seq), and experimental (cell-line expression assays) approaches.
